For Immediate Release
November 30, 2016

RIVERSIDE, CA – Complete Coach Works (CCW) is proud to announce it is starting another project with Gardena Municipal Bus Lines (GTrans).

The project consists of the electrification of four buses of GTrans’ fleet. The buses will be rehabilitated and converted from gasoline hybrid to all-electric battery-powered engines using CCW’s industry-leading Zero Emission Propulsion System (ZEPS) technology.

This contract comes on the heels of a project CCW completed in December 2015 for GTrans, in which one gasoline hybrid bus was converted to ZEPS technology. The current project was awarded to CCW after GTrans received a California Energy Commission grant to upgrade four more of its hybrid buses to electric.

Kevin O’Brien, General Sales Manager at CCW, stated “With the evolution of greener fleets, this is an exciting time in the transit industry and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with such a great transit agency like GTrans. Their forward-thinking actions are something I admire.”

Ernie Crespo, Transit Director for GTrans stated, “We’re really excited to get delivery of these four buses and place them into service immediately. The community will instantly get a cleaner, quiet, and environmentally friendlier bus”.

CCW has Begun Deliveries of Buses to Foothill Transit for Rehab and Repaint Project

For Immediate Release
October 27, 2016

RIVERSIDE, CA — Complete Coach Works (CCW) has begun bus deliveries of rehabilitated articulated buses to Foothill Transit in Los Angeles County. The contract, which includes repowering and repainting 30 artic buses, is expected to be completed this winter.

“The 60-foot-long buses are being repowered with cleaner burning engines that will be fuel efficient and require less maintenance,” said Kevin O’Brien, CCW General Sales Manager.

“The project also includes the inspection and replacement or repairing of the cooling and transmission systems, refreshing the suspension and some exterior body work and paint,” said Roland Cordero, Foothill Transit’s Director of Maintenance and Vehicle Technology.

The buses are being repainted with Foothill’s new logo and paint scheme. This is the second livery project CCW has undertaken for Foothill.

The new Foothill livery features waves of bright blue and lime green that swoop along the sides and around the front of the white buses. Foothill’s mountain peaks logo, a nod to its proximity to the San Gabriel Mountains, extends up from the blue swoop at the midpoint of the sides of the buses. The design reflects the agency’s commitment to sustainability “and being green,” Cordero said.

RIVERSIDE, CA – Complete Coach Works (CCW) provided their Zero-Emission Propulsion System (ZEPS) demo bus to Orange County Transit Association (OCTA) to support one of their Orange County Fair (OC Fair) routes.

The OC Fair, located in Costa Mesa, California has attracted over a million guests each summer for the past five years. This summer the fair opened its doors July 15, 2016 and remained open until August 12, 2016. Due to the large influx of guests attending the fair each year, OCTA adds a designated route to its route service. CCW is thrilled that their ZEPS electric demo bus was servicing the additional route.

“Working with OCTA has been a great experience. Seeing how much attention they put into each detail is what makes this property special. From the first day of the demonstration, OCTA actively communicated what their needs would be and with the support of the CCW ZEPS team, we were able to successfully provide an electric bus that met the expectations of this outstanding property,” shares Ryne Shetterly, ZEPS Sales Manager for CCW.

The 40-foot ZEPS bus was used to shuttle guests from OCTA’s standard bus stops to the OC Fair grounds. The bus traveled close to 100 miles a day and charged overnight with a CCW mobile charger.

CCW hopes to team up with OCTA in their future endeavors and is happy they were able to partner with them to alleviate their heavy summer route.
